Sometimes called Destiny Stone, although it was clearly more metal than rock. It is said that, fate twisted around EarthHeart the way sunlight was bent by a lens glass. It always brought change, seldom for the better.
Obviously metals are important in this story, and EarthHeart is one of the most important metals. A piece of EarthHeart is essentially a fragment of the soul of the planet -- the Gaia, if you will --, which is a focal point for the planet to promote its own welfare. Of course, the welfare of a planet is typically concerned with epically long periods of balance, rather than short lived gains of individuals.
