{"id":1572,"date":"2017-03-31T13:19:43","date_gmt":"2017-03-31T13:19:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mikew.ca\/wp\/?p=1572"},"modified":"2025-01-12T19:37:27","modified_gmt":"2025-01-12T19:37:27","slug":"divertimento-spring-concert","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mikew.ca\/blog\/?p=1572","title":{"rendered":"Divertimento Spring Concert"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>(This is an old post from March 29, 2016, recovered via the Wayback Machine&#8230;)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please join me and the other members of the Divertimento Orchestra for a wonderful Spring concert:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Donizetti! \u2013 <em>Overture to Don Pasquale<\/em><\/strong><br>\nAn exciting, rip-roaring overture with some brutally fast playing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Beethoven \u2014 <em>Symphony No. 6 in F, Op. 68 \u201cPastorale\u201d<\/em><\/strong><br>\nThis is a deeply moving, powerful Symphony that paints beautiful images, from a shepherd tending a flock, to a ferocious thunderstorm.
